The other week, we were having 10 days of 24/7 prayer at AHOP and I was in charge of emailing everyone to remind them of their prayer time they had signed up for. I sent a reminder email out to John (or Dr. Cogdell) one day, who is one of the most faithful people I know as well as a few generations older than me. His reply was that he would be there, God willing. I really liked that. His trust was not in himself, but God willing him to fulfill his promises.
